At last count, there were 5046 restaurants in San Francisco. A lot more than this short list. So if you tried someplace that was great and not on our list above, let us know and we’ll go check it out. So here’s a list TWO PAGES long of places we want to try

Golden Bear Trading Company (1401 6th Ave, 94122 415-664-5574) #9 in the Yelp Top 100 Restaurant List Nationwide.

Goldilocks Fast Food (4516 Mission, 333-6963). We need Pilipino places in our guide.

The Grove (690 Mission St, 957-0558 ) Another great breakfast place.

Guangdong BBQ (2191 Irving at 23rd). While Deb was in the hospital, her Chinese roommategot food from here. “It smelled delicious!” Deb said.

Humphry Slocombe (2790 Harrison St. ) Another trendy ice cream parlor.

Imperial Tea Court ( 1411 Powell St. 788-6080, 1 Embarcadero Ctr # 27, 544-9830). Deb loves a good tea party. Check out Lovejoy’s Tea Room (above). For an Oriental version, try this place. Or try the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park (see Nearby Sights #6 below.)

Incanto (1550 Church St. 641-4500)

Kadoks Restaurant (4794 Mission St. 333-4685. Another Pilipino place we’re going to try

Kirin (6135 Geary Blvd at 25th Ave 752-2268) My SuperShuttle driver raved about this place.

KL Restaurant (4401 Balboa at 44th 666-9928). Suggested for Dim Sum

La Trappe (800 Greenwich St. 440-8727. A beer pub with a short, but delicious, menu.

Le Colonial (20 Cosmo Pl. 931-3600 ). Beth Stephan (Belden-Florida) raves about this place.

Mission Chinese Food (2234 Mission 863-2800)

Mitchell’s (688 San Jose Avenue) If you’re a chocolate fan, like Steve, this was the top rated ice cream parlor in a recent survey, but it’s way out there close to the County Line.

Mr. & Mrs. Miscellaneous (699 22nd Avenue). Another new ice cream place we’re going to try.

Nopa (560 Divisadero 864-8634)

Okina Sushi (776 Arguello Blvd b/t Cabrillo St & Golden Gate Ave 387-8882) CASH ONLY.

Park Tavern, (1652 Stockton 989-7300)

Plow (1209 18th St. at Texas St. 821-7569). Another great brunch place with a line outside.

Polly Ann (3138 Noriega). This was the winner in an ice cream taste-off in our local paper.

Prospect (9300 Spear St. at Folsom 247-7770).

Quan Bac (4112 Geary Blvd. 668-8898) Highly-rated Vietnamese.

Red Door (1608 Bush St at Franklin St. 441-1564). Every time we go by, it has a line outside.

Regent Thai @ 29th & Church. Suggested by my friend George Zwerdling.

R & G Lounge (631 Kearny 982-7877)

SPQR (1911 Fillmore 771-7779)

Sugar Café (679 Sutter St. 923-8146) Elizabeth Stephan (Belden-Florida) raves about this place.

Suppenküche (525 Laguna St,) Recommended by Joe Kiska, ex-Belden, for German Food.

Stock & Bones/Town Hall (342 Howard 908-3900)

Tong Palace (933 Clement 668-3988)

Wing Sing Dim Sum (1125 Stockton St. 433-5571). Martin Yan (“Yan Can Cook”) says this is great.
